Coronavirus (COVID-19): Don’t be afraid! Fight for your family, watching and praying

Amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic God has a promise for your home. Many do not recognize it but you can choose to be under the protection of the Lord by acting wisely by faith in the Word of God. Meditate on this post and see what attitude our family has adopted towards our peace and safety.

“for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬

This is a great truth to remember these days. In the midst of the turbulence that set in worldwide after the rapid proliferation of the coronavirus (COVID-19) followed by the declaration of a pandemic by the World Health Organization, I see many people in fear taking exaggerated and incoherent actions.

This is motivated by fear, which does not help at all. The Bible says that God did not give us a spirit of fear or timidity. He wants us to be prudent and, therefore, he gives us his Spirit that offers power, love and balance.

This is the truth that must guide our thoughts and attitudes. We must watch, following preventive steps such as washing hands with soap and water frequently, avoid touching the face and do not visit areas of disease focus. And at the same time, let’s pray and declare the Word of God about our family. It will make all the difference!

Remember Nehemiah and the men of Israel during the reconstruction of the walls of Jerusalem who worked with one hand and with the other held their weapons. They did not ignore the threat but neither did they allow it to dominate them. They maintained their vision for the long-term future. So vigilance was uninterrupted and work continued.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Psalms‬ ‭91:1-2‬

If you identify the necessary security measures for your home and act out of love, not fear, your family will be safe. And if you declare the Word of God in faith (we chose Psalm 91 – see below) and pray to Him with all your heart, his Spirit will surely breathe life and health into your home.

So don’t be afraid of the coronavirus (Covid-19) or any other attack! Fight for your home, always watching and praying that you will live in peace above the constant threats. May the Lord keep your family protected in the name of Jesus!

Prayer: God, I praise you for your love and faithfulness. I decide to trust in You and not be guided by fear, but by your Spirit and your Word. So I ask you for wisdom and protection for all my family against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and all disease, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.””
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:1-16‬
