Vision and The Word
The Bible says in Gen 15 that the Lord spoke to Abram in a vision. What did God give you, a word or a vision? God was communicating with his friend just as he is communicating with each of us.
In the beginning of 2020 we live in an absurdly spiritual context. This makes it simple for us to hear God if we accept to exchange cultural religiosity for personal sincerity before God.
The Importance of Vision in a Spiritualized World
From movies in theaters to the toys our children have at home, it seems that the spiritual is more present than ever. You have certainly noticed the Minecraft zombies (that do not come inside our home, subject for another conversation soon) and the more modern Lego minifigures.
The way the spiritual manifests itself over the centuries is no different. Visible and often palpable elements are the means of accessing the spiritual. The LORD spoke to Abram in a vision. It is as if a television were the means of communication for him to attend a lecture. The TV image represents the vision, but most important is the content of the message.
The Longevity of a Vision
God’s Word is the secret of your success. Many companies have set powerful visions and worked hard for them, but only a dozen have reached about 1,000 years. That Word of God released to Abram 4 millennia ago gave rise to the people of Israel that each year grows more and more. Only a God-given vision through His Word lasts forever.
“We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer.”
Proverbs 16:1
Conclusion
Believe that this year God will give you a vision to your life and family. It will not be the result of your own effort or creativity. Prioritize listening to God’s Words as you prayerfully consider them until you can clearly see the future God has been dreaming for you. And by advancing in communion with God, he himself will guide you and provide everything necessary for you to be successful all the way.
Prayer: God, thank you so much for your loyal love and for your Word that guides me in every moment of my life. Please help me remove all distractions from my life and live sensitive to your voice. I believe and receive your Word in my life from now on, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
